In our article titled "What is a LUY Invoice and How is it Calculated?", we explained what LUY invoices are and under what circumstances they arise.

What is a LUY Invoice?

With the arrival of the summer season, the production of the plants with SPP investments has increased many times over. With this situation, the electricity production of the relevant facilities has started to exceed their consumption and LUY invoices have started to emerge. So what is LUY?

LUY invoice is the invoice issued as a result of the electricity sales of the facilities whose electricity production is more than consumption in the relevant month in the facilities with 5.1h and 5.1c connection agreements with SPP investment. The LUY invoice is notified to the consumer as LUY notification on the 15th of the following month, indicating the amount of electricity sales and to issue an invoice in the specified amount.

How is the LUY Invoice Calculated?

The calculation of the LUY invoice becomes a bit complicated when a facility that normally receives a single electricity invoice receives 3 invoices. "Very easy with Apollo ges module" If your electricity production is more than your consumption in the relevant month, not only the consumption invoice, but also the LUY invoice and the distribution invoice for the amount of electricity sold. In this case, the feasibility calculation of the SPP investment becomes different and more complex. The calculation of the LUY invoice is calculated according to the subscriber group of the relevant facility (e.g. Industry MV Double Term) by taking the unit price from the most current tariff table published by EMRA and multiplying it by the sales amount.

How to Calculate LUY Invoice in Case of Grouping?

The process of combining the consumption of more than one installation and common offsetting from the production point is called grouping. In case of grouping, the electricity produced is offset as much as the ratios of the consumptions. If the production is more than the total of all consumption points, the LUY invoice is calculated based on the lowest priced subscriber group from the tariff table announced by EMRA of the subscriber group of the grouped installations.

How to Calculate Distribution Invoice for Sales?

So, how is the distribution bill arising from the sales mentioned in the previous topic calculated? Until 2024, distribution invoices for sales were calculated using a single price for all subscribers from the price tariff announced by EMRA. After May 2019, the sales distribution invoice of SPP investors who have completed the connection agreement is now calculated as half of the SPP investors who have completed the connection agreement before May 2019 with the statement made by EMRA in January 2024.
